Sewing Projects

I have recently taken up sewing (I know, I am surprised too) and done a few projects over the last several weeks. Here is what I have done:

This is a diaper and wipes case. No woman likes diapers floating in her bag so this is a case to hold the diapers and the wipes. I think it's pretty cute. I have made several of these for friends and sisters.

We recently moved into a new apartment and our long curtains weren't usable so I hacked them off and hemmed them to a new length. Not a tough project but, they turned out nicely!

This was my latest and hardest project. I have the worst maternity skirts so I decided to make my own! I found this super awesome pattern here, it has over 30 pictures to help you see what you are doing step by step. I knocked it out in about 3 hours (I spent an hour trying to thread the bobbin.... don't ask.... I am STILL mad about it!) and was able to wear it to church the next day! Next time I will make a smaller size so it doesn't have to be as long. Hooray for fun projects!

Sweet fire extinguisher.

Good job! That skirt is so cute! I want to make it for when I'm pregnant again. I like to sew, but I'm not that experienced either, so the 30 pictures will be very helpful me too. Way to go!

You did an awesome job. Seriously it looks just like the one on the web site. Way to go you!!! I think that your next project should be a playhouse for colton like the girly one that I made for Cailtin but make it a firehouse or something. I can help you come up with it. He would love it. Your the best.

Look at you little homemaker!! :) Love the skirt and diaper stuff! And I LOVE the fabric pattern for both of them. By the way, you look so cute with your little prego belly! :)

I seriously, was about to make that wipes and diapers case. I have the tutorial saved on my computer. Don't be surprised when you see it on my blog.

All very cute.. I am impressed with your skirt.

Char- how come you can do anything you want? I am impressed! I think I might need the pattern soon. It is so depressing that maternity clothes are so expensive! I didn't realize you had to have a million in spare change to get pregger...boo!
