The Craze

The Craze is a new family fun center that opened here in town and we decided to give it a try. Colton LOVED every minute of being there and he wasn't too happy about having to leave. They have a decent sized play area (like the play place at McDonald's), arcades, laser tag, and miniature golf. We just did arcades and the play place because Colton couldn't really do the other activities. We spent 7 bucks in the arcades and Colton, yes, COLTON won 150 of them with just TWO quarters! Rather significant seeing as our end total of tickets was 270.

This will be Parker and me when we are 90...

Watch the whole thing, it's adorable!

An elderly couple walked into the lobby of the Mayo Clinic for a checkup and spotted a piano. They've been married for 62 years and he'll be 90 this year. Check out this impromptu performance. We are only as old as we feel, it's all attitude.

Some Projects...

On top of having two little ones, I have been doing some small (and I mean small) projects. Here are a few:

This is my mail sorter. I can't stand mail on the counter, it drives me nuts. I found this tutorial online and modified it to fit my needs. I wish I would have had some red fabric so it coordinated better with my ktichen but I just used what I had on hand.

This is my cupcake wreath. Those are cupcake liners scrunched together! I made this wreath for 3$ which makes me like it a even more :)

This is a "clip art rail" that I found online. I hate throwing away Colton's art work (I don't know why, it just makes me feel guilty) and now I have a place to hang it all up! I didn't take into account that he would rip it down from his crib which is why all the art is on one side. Anyways, I think I am going to mod podge some cute paper onto the close pins to make it a little bit more interesting. Eventually there will be a cool quote over the top of the art rail in vinyl. One thing at a time....

Oh and as you can see, I painted over this frightening mural:

2 Months

Paxton turned two months old last Monday! Time is flying. He had his wellness check yesterday and here are his stats: Height 23.5 inches, 75th percentile, and Weight 15.2 pounds, 99th percentile! What can I say, he's a chubby baby.

I was curious to see where Colton was at this stage so I could compare their stats. Colton weighed 13.11 and was 24.5 inches tall.

Paxton loves to eat (obviously), sleep (he went for eight hours last night!), smile, laugh/coo, and look at new things that have bright colors. However, he hates tummy time.

Here is a side by side comparison of the two each at the age of two months. Paxton is on the left and Colton on the right.

Super Smile

Paxton has been smiling regularly and I finally caught it on video! The beginning is rather boring, he doesn't show you his dashing pink gums until the 15 second mark.

Paxton's Blessing

My parents, Parker's sister (Abbey) and two kids came and joined us for Paxton's baby blessing this last weekend. It was a wonderful weekend! I didn't take any pictures at the church because I forgot to charge my camera (boo). These pictures were taken at Parker's Aunt's house, she held a delightful lunch for everyone after church. I am a slacker an didn't take a single picture of Abbey and her boys, shame on me!

Dad made a snowman with Colton. Well, dad made the snowman and Colton ran around and took credit for the hard work!

Rock N' Roll

Colton got a toy drum for Christmas and he played it all the time. He played it too much. He put a crack in it. He cried. I went to WalMart and found a drum set on clearance. I bought it. He loves it. Here is the proof:

"I wanna Rock 'n' Roll all night...and party every day..."

Because Photo Booth is too much fun...
