Scary Sleeping

Colton really freaks me out on occasion. He LOVES to bury his head into his crib bumper and I am really nervous he will suffocate himself. I have tried taking the bumper down and not only does he not sleep as well, he gets his arms and legs stuck in the slats. Any suggestions?

After he is asleep can you undo the death grip? You should ask Whit because I think Asher sleeps with the blanket over his head. Scuh a cute blanket BTW.

Ooh, no advice for that. But I do love your family tree bloggy thing. So cute!

I think our kids just like to make us worry. Hopefully he'll grow out of it. He's such a strong boy...if he wanted or needed to move I think he would.

Maybe get him a lovey... you know, something, like a teddy-bear to hug while he's sleeping? He won't suffocate btw - it'd have to be mashed on him. It's probably the warm air that he likes, that's what D-man likes (D-man likes to sleep with the blanket over his head and it drives me nuts.)

Does he roll over yet? If so, not alot you can do. Just move him every time you check on him. My kids are still alive and they all at some point of the night ended up crammed in corner of the crib.

Maybe give him a snugglie or something to hold? . . . Never had that, how funny! Maybe if you could keep his arm tucked in his blanket it would help? I love your new header, btw, can't remember if I already told you! And the giant mouse was hilarious!!

put him in warmer jammies then delete a blanket all together. he looks a bit wrapped up in it. that will allow him to move around more easily. he'll be ok with the bumpers...they are soooo worth leaving on to alleviate hands and arms getting stuck outside the slats.
