Even Closer

Yesterday I decided to go for a walk and do some curbing to see if I could get the ball rolling. For those of you who don't know what curbing is, it's where you walk with one foot on the curb, and the other on the road so you are off balance as you walk. Anyhow, I got home after a half hour of intense walking and started having regular contractions. For about two hours the contractions were 4-8 minutes apart. The only catch is, I couldn't even feel them. They didn't hurt me at all! I could tell I was contracting because I could see my belly tightening and then it felt rock hard but, again it didn't hurt. I called the hospital and they told me to come in the contractions got under 5 minutes which seemed silly to me. At about ten o'clock I went to bed and slept on through the night. I have no idea if the contractions kept up through the night but I am still having some this morning. Hopefully things will pick up because I am getting a little impatient. Any suggestions?

Man, I'm glad I'm not the only one...my contractions aren't hurting at all either! It seems super weird, especially being this close to the due date. Let me know if you hear anything...

You will know when you are in labor! Those contractions that don't hurt are braxton hicks. You will know when the real ones hit!! I promise.

castor oil works....not necessarily fun, as it is similar to being induced...Fast intense labor...but I did it with my second and it worked. The nurse wasn't very empathetic as I had taken the castor oil :)...Good luck! I was induced on all mine 2 weeks after the due date...so not much help.

Oh Char, just hang in there! You are just so close. Yes, it will eventually end.
